GRAD EVENTS

GRAD FUN PARK NIGHT

  • Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2026
  • Time: Arrive at school by 3:30 pm; busses leave at 4:00 pm. Return time back to SSS approx. 9:45 pm
  • Cost: $100 on Student Quickpay until October 30th!
  • Location: Central City Fun Park, Surrey, BC (https://www.centralcityfunpark.com/)
  • Guests: Applications are available in the office for guests and must be approved by administration

An opportunity for Grade 12 students to spend a fun-filled evening playing arcade games, bowling, roller skating, mini golfing, singing karaoke, laser tag, and more!

Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be provided!

GRAD AUCTION

  • Date: Thursday, November 26, 2026
  • Time: 5:00 pm doors open/ 6:00 pm dinner / live auction approx. 7:00 pm
  • Cost: $30 / Table of 6 $180 (Reserved Seating) / Table of 10 $270 (Reserved Seating)
  • Theme: Christmas
  • Location: Sardis Secondary School
  • Tickets: Please use your Student Quickpay account for purchase. 

Grade 12 students are asked to bring in business and community donations in the form of products or gift certificates before the event.  50% of the value of the auctioned donation will go directly into the student's grad account to help reduce graduation ticket costs (prom, dry grad, and grad fun park night).  The remaining funds will reduce graduation event costs and support student scholarships through our Grad Legacy Fund.

Things to note:

  • Examples of previous auction items include gift cards, waterpark passes, sporting event tickets, hotel or resort stays, golf course gift cards, fishing charter certificates, and tangible items such as gift baskets.
  • Please note, we do not accept donations of alcohol; however, gift cards to liquor stores or wineries are acceptable.
  • You can bring any donations you collect into the office beginning in September and up to November 13, 2026.

GRAD PHOTOS

  • Date:  January 4-15th by Appointment (Link will be posted here when available for booking)

 All Grade 12s must have a grad photo taken, as it will appear in the yearbook and the grad composite photo that hangs in the school.

COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY 

Date: Friday, June 11, 2027
Time: 5:00 PM (Grads) | 6:00 PM (Guests)
Location: Chilliwack Coliseum

  • The $100 Graduation Fee includes: Grad gown, cap, tassel, and stole, Graduation memento, one 5x7 grad photo, Diploma, Facility rental and decorations

  • Tickets: Each student receives 4 complimentary tickets. 
  • Purchase: 2 additional tickets are available for purchase on Student Quickpay from Feb 1- May 1/26 - $8/each
  • If you need more than 6 tickets, please complete this form; it will open FEB 1st: Sardis Secondary Commencement Ceremony - Extra Ticket Request – Fill out form  - 
  • Seating will be very limited this year, so we will finalize extra requests and email them to parents before May 15th.
  • Dress: This is a formal ceremony, so grads are asked to dress accordingly. Please arrive at the ceremony already dressed in your gown, with appropriate formal attire underneath. You must wear your gown throughout the ceremony.

 

BANQUET AND DANCE

  • Date: Wednesday, June 23, 2027
  • Time: 5:00 pm
  • Cost: $130
  • Location: Clarion Hotel, Abbotsford (by bussing only)
  • On Sale: Feb 1 - June 14 on Student Quickpay
  • Table Seating: June 10th (after Commencement rehearsal), students will sign up for prom tables on site
  • Guest Applications: Available in the office beginning Feb 1. The submission deadline is May 28th. Guest tickets will begin to be sold April 15th after Application review.

As the Banquet and Dance is the culminating social event of the Grade 12 year, school administration is responsible for ensuring that all guests in attendance conduct themselves appropriately, respect all other graduates and guests, and comply with requests/follow directions from school staff. 

Please note:

  • All guests must be a secondary student (grades 10-12) from the Chilliwack School District.
  • All guests must have a character reference from an SD#33 school principal or vice-principal.
  • For all grad functions outside of the City of Chilliwack, transportation will be provided by the School District, and it is expected that the guest will use the provided transportation.
  • Guest Applications for Banquet and Dance are available in the office.

The Banquet and Dance is a formal event where students can dress up and spend a memorable evening together. Grads will share in a gourmet buffet dinner. There will be speeches (short ones), and then Grads dance the night away.

DRY GRAD

  • Date: Wednesday, June 23, 2027
  • Time: 11:00 pm - 5:00 am
  • Cost: $TBA
  • Location: Landing Sports Center, 45530 Spadina Avenue
  • On Sale: Feb 1 until Sold Out - Tickets available on Student Quickpay

Once the Banquet and Dance is over, the night is just beginning!  There are plenty of fun things to do, including casino games, character artists, games, bands, food and drinks.  Grads should wear comfortable clothing and shoes as this is an activity-packed event.

Ticket sales will be limited to graduating students first. After that, graduating students can purchase tickets for guests until tickets are sold out or until June 19th, when ticket sales close. 

Meeting dates for 2027 - TBA

Meetings will be held at 7:00 pm in the Clover Room at the Landing Sports Centre at 45530 Spadina Avenue. Everyone welcome!
