Chilliwack Metis Association Bursary – $1,000.00

Awarded to a graduating student who is proceeding to an accredited post-secondary educational institution who self identities as Metis. Must demonstrate financial need and a minimum C+ average for the first semester, as well as good service, citizenship, personal determination and work ethic in school and community. Two year timeline to collect.
Indigenous Education Advisory Committee – Gwen Point Award - $1,000.00. Please see Financial Awards Group 2 for information on how to apply.
In addition to the standard application, candidates must provide a letter to describe their cultural involvement and/or service in this community (this may include volunteer work, working with Elders, community sports,etc.).

Awarded to a grade 12 aboriginal student who is eligible for graduation and proceeding to an accredited Post Secondary Institution who has attained a minimum "C+ "average for the first two reporting periods (1st Semester) in grade 12. Student must have demonstrated good service, citizenship, personal determination and work ethic in school and/or community. Must demonstrate need for financial assistance.

Student should self-identify as indigenous and be interested in obtaining a BC Public School teaching certificate and in good academic standing. Award paid to the student upon registration in an acredited Canadian post secondary educational institution. Two year timeline to collect.

Available to a First Nations graduating student. Proof of registration to a post-secondary institute on a full time basis is required. Amount and Number of Bursaries subject to change. Also guidelines are subject to change without notice. Student must enroll within two years or the award will be forfeited.
